On the Road To Dingle
The broody nature of the Southern Irish skies is a captivating and atmospheric sight to behold.
Often shrouded in mist and veiled by low hanging clouds, these skies create a sense of mystery and introspection. Ever-changing weather patterns create a dramatic interplay of light and shadow, which cast an etherial glow over the rugged landscape. This abundance of natural beauty provided an endless supply of inspiration for this next body of work.
While watching rapidly changing cloud formations, I observe nature’s changing colour palette shift into deep blues and greys, the layering of textures creates a sense of depth and movement which, I try and capture in each canvas.
